Their organization was integral in working with the North Carolina Rural Center and Mount Airy Downtown, Inc. to secure funds for the redevelopment of Canteen Alley on Main Street. It was his work with Skate Mount Airy, and MAPs that led Will to be recognized as one of the Triad Business Journals “40 Leaders Under 40”. After moving on from being a small business owner, Will joined his father, John Jackson, as a Nationwide Insurance agent at John Jackson Insurance Agency, earning recognition from Nationwide as a member of their “Blue Book” for outstanding sales achievements, and providing Will with some of the most rewarding years of his life working side-by-side with his dad. After Nationwide, Will was able to gain further valuable sales, marketing, and manufacturing experiences with the start-up WillowTex, a synthetic leather manufacturer.
